treasured / note taking and vintage jewelry coexist

I'm splitting my time between note taking and admiring vintage jewelry

this adorable 14k ring is slated for my Etsy shop later this week.

vintage haul

there's been some serious succulent purchasing in my world. I picked up these two vintage kitchen bits to use as inexpensive, adorable planters. no drainage holes means that I used succulent potting mix -- more rocks, more spaces for the moisture to setting at the bottom rather than rotting the roots.

1. modernist smokey quartz and 14k ring now for sale in my Etsy shop / 2. vintage clothes shopping. I left empty-handed. Thrift store shopping for so many years makes it difficult for me to pay retail price for clothes / 3. J's tattoo, modeled after a Tom Killion woodblock print is finally complete. check-out Marie Brennan. she is truly an artist. / 4. coming to the end of Farmers Market stone fruit season / 5. SF Conservatory of Flowers. our apartment is approximately equidistance between The Presidio of SF and SF's Golden Gate Park. I usually run in the presidio. Yesterday I decided to venture into Golden Gate Park for my run and it reminded me why I love this city so much.

make: herkimer diamond ring. I purchased a bunch of these tiny, beautiful stones a while back and I made myself a pair of post earrings in the style of the ring shown below (ring is from Anthropologie). Might be time to make myself a matching ring.
covet: shoes on display in an antique china cabinet.

sneak peak

I've been humbled by in inability to get things done now that I'm a student again. that's okay. I feel like I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be at this moment in life. a little frazzled, hopelessly creative, sitting in lectures, hopefully learning how to make the world a better place.

here's a sneak peak of some of the jewelry I'm working on these days. it isn't for sale, yet...
